Stepping out together
Wheeling up Monkey Forest St
Senang Hati members caused a stir with a parade of wheelchairs on the 24th of December 2006, when they and their friends walked from Arma Cafe to the Ubud Community Hall.
This was one of a number of activities including a painting and craft exhibition which were organized by the foundation together with the Rotaract and the Rotary Club of Ubud. The aim of all these activities was to raise community awareness concerning the existence and needs of people with disabilities.
Although the route was quite challenging, their enthusiasm overcame rivers of sweat that ran down their bodies. Satisfaction shone from their eyes when they managed to make it up to the Community Hall.
